The newly opened Boracay Airport or the new Caticlan Airport Terminal is small but modern. I would assume that this would bring it up to par with global standards. The facility is air-conditioned and very secured. You'll definitely feel that you're in a world class mini airport.

When disembarking the plane, you'll see these 5 beautiful bronze sculptures.

The terminal is so small that when you enter the building you'll see the immigration and the baggage conveyor belt in one room.

Boracay Airport also has information touchscreens. I wasn't able to try them so I don't know what information it has.

The Boracay Airport departure entrance is spacious and has a number of food shops near the area. Great for pasalubong or souvenirs.

Shocked to see a baggage scanner and metal detectors at the departure entrance, which most provincial airports don't have.

Checking in would be comfortable since the whole airport is air-conditioned. They have 2 to 3 booths for checking in and have LCD screens for flight schedules.

The airport's waiting area was quite small. If you have two consecutive outgoing flights, you would surely run out of seats. At least they have cable TV for waiting passengers to watch.

These are said to be only a part of the modernization of Caticlan Airport or Godofredo P. Ramos Airport, which is scheduled to be completed by 2013.
