Lolo Dad's Fine Dining at Manila

Celebrated a special occasion at Lolo Dad's Cafe at Malate, Manila. Lolo Dad's is known for its fine dining and a great venue for couples, dates and special occasions. I just heard about this place from my friends. The usual reaction is why is there a fine dining restaurant along Quirino Avenue. It is the only restaurant in the area along with McDonald.

When we entered the gates we passed by a small courtyard where we could see the interior of the restaurant and even the kitchen. We were greeted well and guided to our seats. The interior was cozy and simple. At their mini bar you could see Lolo Dad's multiple awards.

I can't remember the name of the dish but I remembered the type of meat used. We ordered crispy crab for our appetizer, beef and salmon for our main courses and a dessert. before the main course they gave us a complementary raspberry sorbet. The food was great and. I loved the beef, tender and tasty. A bit expensive but we are celebrating a special occasion so it was worth the extra bucks.I had a problem with the service though. Paying food for a high price, you would assume that you will get sort of royalty service. But They had few servers and if you raise your hand, I had to still look around and find a waiter or server.
