Bonchon Chicken, Makati Ayala Triangle Gardens

BonChon Chicken is a South Korean fried chicken franchise restaurant that is well known in the United States and Thailand. Known for their crispy chickens, the franchise is fast growing here in the Philippines with more than 10 branches opened.

The interior is simple, usually white walls. They have LCD screens for their menu at the counter, which very few restaurants use here in the Philippines.

Since Bonchon originated from Korea, we can call this a Korean fried chicken. The secret of those crispy Korean fried chickens is that they are fried twice. I know lots of Filipinos are craving for Bonchon's chicken, but I personally am not a fan of it. The skin is very tasty but the meat inside lack flavor. For snacks its great, but for lunch and dinner or pairing it with rice, not so much.

Aside from the chickens, Bonchon also serves other traditional Korean dishes. Chapchae is one of my favorite Korean dishes in Bonchon. Very affordable and tastes great.
