Autofocus Motorshow and Auto Expo 2011

Buying a new car? Then go to an autoFocus Motorshow and you will find what you are looking for. The 2011 Autofocus Motorshow and Auto Expo had one of the biggest outdoor motorshow/carshow in the country. They have all car brands and models displayed there.

Korean car makers Hyundai and Kia are really establishing themselves in the past years. They were located just after the entrance with lots of car lineups displayed. I think they have the most number of car models displayed there. I remember that before, when they were just new in the Philippines, they have a reputation of having weak and faulty engines. Now they have really improved in all aspects, specially in their car designs.

Lexus, the high-end cars from Toyota are also displaying their lineups there.

Toyota displayed few lineups there, focusing more on the New Toyota Fortuner SUV and Toyota Hilux Pickup truck.

Nissan's lineup was not interesting, most of the models are not new. I just saw a new Nissan Murano which very few Filipinos buys because of the heavy price tag, but it does have an awesome look.

Although few Subaru models are seen on the street, the brand is still very popular specially Impreza and Forester Models. Before, I use to watch WRC and I always loved the Subaru Impreza. When peaple asks me what's my dream car, I always say Subaru Impreza. Back then most didn't know what Subaru is and I think there was no Subaru Philippines yet, just imported Subaru cars.

Ford had a makeover with their Ford Explorer. Totally different from the previous models. Although with the price hikes I doubt we will see lots of these on the road. Great design though and quite big.

Chevy Celebrates 100th Anniversary at Mall of Asia

To celebrate their centennial anniversary, Chevrolet Philippines or Chevy, launched the 2011 Chevy Motorama at the back of SM Mall of Asia. This event showcases the most historic, latest and admired Chevrolet models in the country. They also launched the Chevrolet Traverse and the new Chevrolet Colorado pick up truck.
