4 Days and 5 Nights Trip to Hong Kong and Macau

Got to travel to Hong Kong and Macau with my girlfriend and friends! This my second time to travel to HK and Macau at the same trip. The last time was we were in HK then went to Macau, now it was the other way around. We got cheap tickets via Cebu Pacific but had to travel to Macau first and arriving late at night. We made a blooper when booking our flights. We arrived at Macau and had to depart in Macau also. This caused us to lose half a day. We decided to go straight to Hong Kong via ferry boat upon arriving in Macau. Because we would depart in Macau so it is best that we would be in Macau for the last day, just to be sure that we won't miss our flight.

4 Days and 5 Nights Hong Kong and Macau Travel Itinerary

Got to travel to Hong Kong and Macau! This is our full itinerary for Hong Kong and Macau. We weren't able to go to all that were listed but nevertheless the trip was great. Notice that we arrived at Macau and also departed at Macau. That was one of our mistakes. We had no choice because it was already booked with Cebu Pacific. So we decided to go to Hong Kong upon landing to Macau. Because we would be departing at Macau, it was best to be in Macau for the last day, just to be sure that we won't miss our flight in Macau. This wasted half of our day because of the hotel transfers and ferry rides. It would have been better if one of our flights were in Hong Kong.

Visiting Hong Kong from Macau Via Ferry Boat

Got to travel to Hong Kong from Macau! We had to go to Hong Kong via ferry boat and back to Macau again for our departure back to Manila because our friend booked the wrong flights. He booked a flight from Manila to Macau and Macau to Manila. Which was should be Manila to Macau and Hong Kong to Manila. So you should be careful when booking you flights. This is a waste of time because one ferry ride takes around 1 hour and not to mention packing our baggages, ferry ticket and going to the ferry terminal.

Staying at Cosmic Guest House Hong Kong

Got to stay at the Cosmic Guest House in Hong Kong! This is a guest house not a hotel. At first we really didn't thought about it that much but there's a big difference. We were on a tight budget so we looked for a cheap place to stay at Hong Kong on the Internet. We stumbled upon Cosmic Guest House.

Halloween at Hong Kong Disneyland

Got to travel to Hong Kong Disneyland on a Halloween! Unlike Ocean Park, Disneyland doesn't have special Halloween attractions, but they did have dancing zombies at night. I have a short video below. It's my second time going to HK Disneyland, so it's not that exciting anymore. My first visit to HK Disneyland was last April of 2009. All the shows and its actors were the same. But I still enjoyed being there with different people. Last time I was with my family, now I was with my girlfriend and friends.

Halloween at Ocean Park Hong Kong

Got to travel to Ocean Park Hong Kong! As a kid, I grew up with Ocean Park. This is the first place I saw dolphin shows, sea lions and killer whales. It has been so long since I last visited Ocean Park. Last time we were in Hong Kong we just went to Disneyland. As to every theme park, you won't enjoy them the third time around except if you have a different set of travel companions, which I did. It was October so they have Halloween setups and designs.

The Peak 3-in-1 Combo Package: Peak Tram, Sky Terrace and Madame Tussauds

Got to travel to The Peak, Hong Kong! I remember my first time at The Peak when I was still a kid with parents, it was so cold that night. The peak is one of Hong Kong's popular city attractions. To go there  you have to ride the tram train. The train will climb a mountain in a 45 degree angle. So you really have to stay on your seat or you'll roll over the back of the train. Once on top it has various attractions. It has small shopping areas, restaurants and houses Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. The building on top is called The Peak Tower, it's very unique in shape and you can go up to the Sky Terrace where you would see an amazing 360 degrees view of Hong Kong.

Celebrities in Madame Tussauds' Wax Museum

Got to travel to Madame Tussauds' Wax Museum! Heard about the wax museum on TV few years back. When we were buying tickets I was shocked with the price. Didn't know that Madame Tussauds' Wax Museum would be a bit pricey. One ticket costs HK$160, that's roughly 800+ pesos. But I was determined to see it so we decided to take the 3-in-1 combo package for HK$210 which includes Madame Tussauds' Wax Museum, Peak Tram and Sky Terrace.

2009 Hong Kong and Macau Trip

Got to travel to Hong Kong and Macau! I love Hong Kong because they have a great transportation system. Just get a map and you wouldn't get lost. So far they have one of the best airports in the world. I wasn't able to make an itinerary for this trip because our family is used to Hong Kong so we just decided on what to do when we got there. We haven't gone to Disneyland and Macau, so that was basically what we planned. Go to those places and go shopping the rest of our trip.

Got to travel to Hong Kong Disneyland! This is my first visit to a disneyland theme park so I was very excited. Who doesn't love disney characters right? I grew up seeing so many disney characters and I haven't seen a live mickey mouse before. And I was excited for the fireworks as well, which they say was spectacular. We didn't bought tickets online in advance so we had to fall in line to buy tickets. I suggest buy tickets online! took us 30 minutes or more and we were early by the way.
