4 Days and 5 Nights Trip to Hong Kong and Macau

Got to travel to Hong Kong and Macau with my girlfriend and friends! This my second time to travel to HK and Macau at the same trip. The last time was we were in HK then went to Macau, now it was the other way around. We got cheap tickets via Cebu Pacific but had to travel to Macau first and arriving late at night. We made a blooper when booking our flights. We arrived at Macau and had to depart in Macau also. This caused us to lose half a day. We decided to go straight to Hong Kong via ferry boat upon arriving in Macau. Because we would depart in Macau so it is best that we would be in Macau for the last day, just to be sure that we won't miss our flight.

4 Days and 5 Nights Hong Kong and Macau Travel Itinerary

Got to travel to Hong Kong and Macau! This is our full itinerary for Hong Kong and Macau. We weren't able to go to all that were listed but nevertheless the trip was great. Notice that we arrived at Macau and also departed at Macau. That was one of our mistakes. We had no choice because it was already booked with Cebu Pacific. So we decided to go to Hong Kong upon landing to Macau. Because we would be departing at Macau, it was best to be in Macau for the last day, just to be sure that we won't miss our flight in Macau. This wasted half of our day because of the hotel transfers and ferry rides. It would have been better if one of our flights were in Hong Kong.

Got to travel to Macau! Actually we were in Macau for few hours before we were in Hong Kong. Because of our flights, we arrived at Macau and departed at Macau as well. We decided to go straight to Hong Kong first then come back to Macau before departing back to Manila.

Classic Cars at Grand Prix Museum Macau

Macau is well known for it's Formula 1 races so I googled it on the Internet. I stumbled Grand Prix Museum and base on the map it was just a few blocks away from fisherman's wharf. So we decided to walk there after looking around fisherman's wharf. Surprisingly we got lost. Apparently the museum itself is inside a building and you wouldn't see any big signs of Grand Prix Museum. After asking directions from people we finally found the correct entrance for the museum.

2009 Hong Kong and Macau Trip

Got to travel to Hong Kong and Macau! I love Hong Kong because they have a great transportation system. Just get a map and you wouldn't get lost. So far they have one of the best airports in the world. I wasn't able to make an itinerary for this trip because our family is used to Hong Kong so we just decided on what to do when we got there. We haven't gone to Disneyland and Macau, so that was basically what we planned. Go to those places and go shopping the rest of our trip.

Macau Day Tour from Hong Kong

Macau's St. Paul Ruins
Got to travel to Macau! We were in Hong Kong for 5 days so we decided to visit Macau for a day. It's very cheap and convenient to travel from Hong Kong to Macau by a ferry boat.  Others say that a day is already enough to explore Macau but at the end of my trip, I personally think that it isn't really enough. If you want to visit most of Macau's top tourist destinations, 2 to 3 days is more than enough. One of the places that you should visit and have a photo taken is Macau's Ruins of St. Paul. This church is one of the most iconic and well known places in Macau. Lots of tourists take a photo of this church, so I suggest that you should be here early.

Fisherman's Wharf, Macau

Roman Inspired Area
Got to travel to Fisherman's Wharf, Macau! This is one of the places in Macau you couldn't miss. This is the first theme park of Macau, while walking around you wouldn't feel that you are in Macau. Some of the buildings are European inspired, some are Chinese inspired and Middle East inspired and even Roman inspired buildings. I enjoyed walking around and taking pictures of different sceneries. And it's all free. They have lots of other attractions in the area but we weren't really able to see the whole Fisherman's Wharf because we only had  a day in Macau so we had to be quick.

MGM Grand Hotel Lion Statue
Got to travel to Macau and see some famous Vegas hotels! We were only on a day trip in Macau so we were able to go to just 4 hotels. What I loved about hotel hopping in Macau is that they have free shuttle services between these 5 star hotels. So they really offer convenient transportations for tourists who wants to see and visit there big hotels. First we went to MGM Grand Hotel. We didn't go inside anymore, just passed by and took some pictures.

Venetian Hotel View While Inside the Bus
Got to travel to The Venetian Hotel and Resort in Macau! What I hated about my visit there? I lost HK$500 in 10 minutes! There casino's minimum bet are very high. Anyway, the place is big. You can really feel you're in Venice. The sealing at the center are realistically painted looking like clouds. There are many performers scattered in the shopping areas inside. We weren't able to ride the gondola, but I will sure try it next time. There shopping area is big and luckily they have a sale when we were there.
