De Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro

De Luxe Hotel is one of the oldest and first hotels in Cagayan de Oro City. It has a total of 101 guest rooms and variety of function rooms. The hotel offers very affordable rooms with first class service.

De Luxe Hotel is located near CDO's Divisoria and considered one of the busiest streets in CDO. Note that it's just "near" Divisoria not exactly at the center. So there are no street vendors outside the hotel. The street is wide and taxi's can easily go their. Transportation is very easy in this area. There are lots of jeepneys, pedicabs, and motorellas if you prefer local transportation modes.

Our Room

We got their standard room which was their cheapest room at Php800 per night inclusive of breakfast for one. On their website they say this was for single occupancy, but there was no extra charge made for the extra guest. Don't know if they forgot or if it isn't strictly implemented or maybe because we got 4 standard rooms. We were suppose to get the quad room for Php2,400 but if we get the two standard rooms, it's only Php1,600. Comparing the two, we got 2 breakfast instead of 4, we got two shower rooms instead of 1 and we got to save Php800.

The room is very affordable and I'd say a bargain. The room is very spacious and well lighted. It has all the basic needs like cable tv, air conditioning and hot water. There are two things I didn't like, one is that the room didn't have a window. Not sure if all their standard rooms don't have windows, so better ask the front desk first. Second, the bedsheets had stains and holes in them. But I'm sure their clean and they smell fresh out of the laundry.

An addition of Php 400 will be collected for each extra guest. Prices are inclusive of breakfast. There will be no charge (for a maximum of 2) children below 12 years old occupying the same room with parents. Group/ corporate rates are available upon request.

Function Rooms

The hotel has 6 conference rooms and one grand ballroom which can be divided into two. All of the function rooms are equipped with the basic presentation equipment.
